Templates are designed to simplify and streamline the process of setting up your spaces. Whether you're running recurring courses, workshops, or communities, templates allow you to save and reuse a structured format, saving you time and ensuring consistency across all your offerings. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to create and utilize templates effectively, helping you make the most of your Sutra experience.
How to create a template
You can create a template from a whole top level space, with all levels included, or only from a specific sub space.
Select the space you want to create the template from
Click on the three dots icon on the top menu and select Save template
How to use a saved template
In the space you want to add the template, click on the Edit space button on the top menu and click in one of the Template shortcuts:
Troubleshooting
Your template isn't in the Saved section — Make sure you finished the save flow by clicking Create template. Saved templates appear under the Saved section of the Template shortcuts when you open Edit space.
Not sure which space is a template — Template spaces always show the red "Template space" tag on the left, which distinguishes them from your live spaces.
What's next
Once you've applied a template, set up your program and content inside the new space and design it to match your brand. As you reorganize, you can also duplicate, archive, or delete spaces.
