Decide what Cobolt should understand
Cobolt settings let eligible managers control how AI features use information from a space. A space can be excluded from Cobolt indexing when its content should not contribute to Cobolt’s understanding.
Use that exclusion deliberately—for example, for a temporary test space or material that should remain outside AI-assisted discovery.
Review interests as useful context
Cobolt can surface interests connected to members and their activity. Managers can control whether AI-discovered interests appear, and supported configurations can allow those interests to update automatically.
Interests are most useful when they help people find relevant connections or help a facilitator understand the group. They should not replace information members explicitly provide.
Use the narrowest helpful configuration
Begin with the minimum AI context needed for the experience. Review the settings after changing the audience, purpose, or content of the space.
Access to individual Cobolt controls depends on permissions and enabled features. If a setting is unavailable, do not design a workflow that assumes it is active.
