Use the right control surface
Space settings change how one space looks and behaves: its identity, access, registration, layout, notifications, integrations, and related options.
The Manage area is for operational work across the experience, including people, payments, broadcasts, automations, surveys, engagement, and domains. The sections you see depend on your role, plan, and enabled features.
Start with the outcome
If you want to change whether a space is open, private, or paid, begin in its settings. If you want to invite people, send an email, review participation, or manage a payment plan, begin in Manage.
This distinction keeps structural decisions separate from recurring work.
Change one system at a time
Access, registration, payments, and automation often work together. Make one change, then preview the member journey before changing the next part.
For example, after making a space paid, confirm the plan and registration page before announcing it. After changing notifications, check which audience the new setting affects.
