Build from structure, not decoration
Sutra’s editor builds pages from nested blocks. Text and media sit inside layout blocks such as boxes, columns, and grids, allowing you to change the content or the surrounding structure independently.
Begin with the reading order: a clear heading, the essential explanation, and one next action. Add visual styling after the page makes sense without it.
Select the layer you intend to change
Double-click text when you want to edit the words. Select the surrounding box, column, or grid when you want to change spacing, alignment, width, color, or layout.
If several items should move together, select their shared container.
Use blocks to support the experience
Pages can include text, images, video, files, buttons, discussions, surveys, and other interactive blocks. Choose a block because it helps someone understand, respond, or continue.
Preview outside edit mode and check a smaller screen. A simple page with a clear hierarchy is usually easier to use than one with many competing treatments.
