A completion link marks one space complete for the signed-in participant and then opens another space. Use it when you want a button in external content, such as the final slide of a Genially presentation, to finish the current module and take the participant to the next one.
You build this link manually by adding ?complete= to a Sutra space URL.
Build your link
Open the space you want to mark complete and copy its address. For example: https://sutra.co/space/2kuxl8ho/content.
Find the space slug: the part immediately after /space/. In this example, it is 2kuxl8ho. Copy only that slug, not the space name or the whole address.
Copy the address of the space you want participants to visit next. For example: https://sutra.co/space/7xq9m2ab/content.
Add ?complete= followed by the first space's slug to the destination address.
Your finished link would look like this:
https://sutra.co/space/7xq9m2ab/content?complete=2kuxl8ho
These are example slugs. Replace 2kuxl8ho and 7xq9m2ab with the slugs from your own spaces; do not use their names. In this example, clicking the link marks Module 1 complete and then opens Module 2.
If you want participants to stay in the same space after completing it, use that space's address as the destination too.
If the address already has extra information
If the destination address already contains a ?, add &complete= instead of another ?. For example:
https://sutra.co/space/7xq9m2ab/content?tag=practice&complete=2kuxl8ho
Include only one complete parameter. If the address contains a # followed by a section reference, place the completion parameter before the #.
Add the link to your content
Paste the finished URL into the link destination for your external button or text link. For a slideshow, you could place a button labeled Finish and continue on the final slide.
When the slideshow is embedded inside Sutra, choose a link behavior that opens Sutra outside the slideshow, such as opening a new tab. Test the finished link as a participant before sharing it.
What happens when someone clicks
If the participant is signed out, they sign in before Sutra processes the completion link.
The participant must have access to the space being marked complete.
Sutra marks that space complete, then opens the destination. The destination's access rules still apply.
The first completion can run your existing completion automations. Clicking the link again while the space is already complete keeps it complete and does not run those automations again.
The link records completion when someone follows it. It does not verify that they viewed every slide or finished an activity inside the external content.
If Sutra cannot process a valid completion link, the participant can retry or continue without marking the space complete. An invalid link offers the option to continue without completion; check the slug and link format before sharing it again.
