You can make your Sutra program space easier for search engines to find using our Search Engine Optimization features.
How to set up SEO settings on Sutra
Create a program space.
Make it OPEN or PAID in the privacy settings (Manage → General Settings → Privacy and payment settings).
Enable and create a registration page (Manage → General Settings → Registration page settings).
Then click on Manage and scroll down to the SEO Settings area:
Fill in the SEO form by adding a title, Meta description and an image.
The title will show up in search engine results and social shares. Optimal length is 60 characters.
The Meta description will show up in search engine results and social shares. Optimal length is 150 to 350 characters.
The image will show up in social media shares. The recommended dimension is 1200 pixels x 627 pixels (1.91/1 ratio).
Example
Tracking scripts: Google Analytics and Facebook pixel
SEO settings control how your page looks when it's found. If you also want to measure who arrives, there's a second panel in the same place: Add third party scripts, at the bottom of Registration page settings.
Click Add script, choose a Script provider — Google Analytics or Facebook pixel — and paste your Account ID beside it.
For Google Analytics, use your GA4 Measurement ID beginning with G-. The placeholder text still shows the older UA-XXXXXXXX-X format; paste your G- ID anyway.
There's no save button — the panel saves on its own a couple of seconds after you stop typing. Remove a script with the red X.
Your scripts run on the public registration page and the space's main content page only — not on subspaces, discussions, or the checkout page. They are also set per space, so they don't carry over to subspaces.
Tracking scripts need the Bronze plan or above. See the full article on adding Google Analytics or a Facebook pixel for what each tool will and won't be able to measure.
Troubleshooting
You don't see the SEO Settings area — set the space to OPEN or PAID and enable a registration page first. SEO settings apply to the publicly visible registration page.
Your title or description looks cut off in results — keep the title around 60 characters and the meta description between 150 and 350 characters.
Your share image looks distorted — use the recommended 1200 x 627 pixel (1.91/1 ratio) dimensions.
Google Analytics isn't recording anything — check that you pasted the Measurement ID rather than a Stream ID, and that you're testing the public registration page, not a page inside the space.
The Add script button is greyed out — a script row already on the list is missing its provider or its ID. Complete it, or delete it with the red X.
What's next
With your SEO details in place, review your privacy settings to confirm your registration page is publicly visible, and customize your space's branding so it looks polished when shared.
