Sutra can load your own Google Analytics tag or Facebook pixel on your space's public pages, so visits and sign-ups show up in the tools you already use for advertising and reporting.
Requires the Bronze plan or above, since tracking scripts sit with the custom registration page features.
Add a script
Open your space and go to Manage → General settings → Registration page settings.
Scroll to Add third party scripts at the bottom of the section.
Click Add script.
Choose a Script provider — Google Analytics or Facebook pixel.
Paste your Account ID into the field beside it.
There's no save button — your changes are stored automatically a couple of seconds after you stop typing. To remove a script, click the red X on its row. You can add more than one, and the Add script button stays greyed out until every row already on the list has both a provider and an ID.
Which ID to paste
Google Analytics — use your GA4 Measurement ID, which starts with G-. You'll find it in Google Analytics under Admin → Data streams → your web stream. The field's placeholder still shows the older UA-XXXXXXXX-X format from Universal Analytics; ignore it and paste your G- ID.
Facebook pixel — use the numeric pixel ID from Meta Events Manager, under Data sources.
Which pages get tracked
This is the part that surprises people. Your scripts load on two pages only:
They do not load on subspaces, discussion pages, event pages, the checkout page, or anywhere inside the members-only area. So Google Analytics will show you traffic arriving at your landing page, but not a full journey through your program — and a Facebook pixel will see the landing page view, but not the purchase itself as a conversion event.
Scripts are set per space, so a script added to one space does not follow its subspaces. Add it separately to each space whose registration page you want to measure.
For what happens inside your space — who visited, who posted, who watched which video — use Sutra's own participation analytics instead.
Troubleshooting
Clicking Add script opens an upgrade message — tracking scripts come with the custom registration page features, on Bronze and above.
Google Analytics shows no traffic — check three things: that you pasted the Measurement ID and not the Stream ID or the Tag ID from a different property; that you are testing the public registration page rather than a page inside the space; and that you're viewing the right property in Google Analytics. Realtime is the quickest place to confirm.
The Add script button is greyed out — one of the rows already on the list is missing a provider or an ID. Complete it, or delete it with the red X.
You want to track purchases as conversions — the checkout page isn't covered by per-space scripts, so a pixel here can't record the purchase. Use registration page views as your conversion signal, and reconcile actual sales from Sutra's payment records.
You need a different tool — Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, LinkedIn — only Google Analytics and Facebook pixel are supported. There's no field for arbitrary script code.
What's next
Tracking scripts pair naturally with your SEO settings, which control the title, description, and image your registration page shows in search results and social shares. For engagement inside your space, see participation analytics.
